Welcome to Psalm 133 Fellowship. We started out in May 2014 as a home fellowship in the Central Illinois (Peoria IL) area and are looking for other like minded believers to come walk along side of us as we grow.
When people learn about us they often times ask us what we are. What they are looking for is a title like Judaeo Christian, Messianic, Hebrew Roots, Messianic Jew just to name a few. However it is easier to explain what we are what we do and why we do it. We follow the Biblical Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) and look to live as he lived. 1 John 2:6 “He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked”. Revelation 14:12 “Here is the patience of the saints; here are those[a] who keep the commandments of Elohim and the faith of Yeshua.” What that translates to is that we are similar to Christians, but keep Sabbath (Saturday) holy an do not work on it, eat clean according to the Bible; keep the feasts (Pesach/Passover, Chag HaMatzot/Unleavened Bread, Yom HaBikkurim/First Fruits, Shavuot/Pentecost, Yom Teruah/Trumpets, Yom Kippur/Atonement, and Sukkot/Tabernacles); and use the Hebrew names Yeshua (Jesus), Elohim (God), Ruach Hakodesh (Holy Spirit), and the Yahweh (LORD).
1 John 5:1-5 Whoever believes that Yeshua is the Messiah is born of Elohim, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him. By this we know that we love the children of Elohim, when we love Elohim and keep His commandments. For this is the love of Elohim, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. For whatever is born of Elohim overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the worldour[a] faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Yeshua is the Son of Elohim?
Our aim or goal of our group:
- To walk alongside fellow believers encouraging and loving each other as we learn how to walk in ways pleasing to Yahweh (The LORD). We can do this because of the salvation and instructions of Yeshua (Jesus) our Messiah (Christ) with the help and leading of the Ruach Hakodesh (The Holy Spirit).
- As the name of our group (Psalm 133) implies we look to dwell together in unity with all followers of Yahweh/the LORD.
